Kurt is a Partner, Wealth Manager and Director at Steward Partners. He has advised clients and has managed portfolios for wealthy families for more than two decades. He believes in comprehensive planning for his clients including retirement, tax efficient investing, insurance, estate planning strategies, and philanthropic giving.
Kurt joined the financial services industry in 1995 with the global insurer Axa. He spent 7 years in Private Wealth Management at SunTrust. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2011 as a First Vice President and achieved the Portfolio Manager designation. He is also a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
Kurt, and his wife Anna, live in Charleston, SC and have four adult children. They enjoy music, the arts, nature, and international travel. They have visited over 30 countries with their children often joining them and take the time to understand the history, language, culture and cuisine of each destination they visit. Kurt and Anna support several causes addressing healthcare, education, and human rights. In addition, Kurt has participated in JDRF’s ride to cure diabetes cycling event for more than 10 years. He has ridden over 1,000 miles and raised close to $100,000 for this mission of curing type 1 diabetes.
